The comedians on this page, however, when given the chance, defy those expectations with incisive, witty, and groundbreaking humor.

Zach Galifianakis

Perhaps the most talented and versatile host to ever grace VH1's now-defunct "Late World with Zach," Zach (pr. Zatch) has also starred in such comedic gems as "Out Cold" and "Corky Romano." »

Jon Stewart

Christopher Guest

Call him Nigel, Harlan, Corky, or Tyrone, he's the comedic genius behind the often-misunderstood mockumentary genre. »

Sarah Silverman

She might look innocent, but her crass stand-up routine is guaranteed to offend you. »

Larry David

How much of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is Larry David the character and how much is Larry David the person? One can never tell. »
